About Us

Created: June 5 2010
Opened: September 9 2010
Reopened: -

History: Random Creations has been around for a while, and originally started off as a site where people could come and learn about how to be a webmistress, how to organise their site properly, and how to keep their site open for more than a year (as can be read in the old About Us page). We eventually decided to change to a site where, taking our staff's busy lives into consideration, we are able to update at any given time, and not have to update daily. The change was brought about because we weren't able to find enough staff to teach all the classes; and kaexshinee left the site for rxnkim (which then got utterly confusing so she changed it).

What Random Creations used to be (a webmistress academy), may be brought back further into Random Creations' life, though nothing has been decided yet.

Name:
  • Random: Having no specific pattern, arrangement or predictable outcome.

  • Creations: An artifact that has been brought into existence by someone.

  • Aim: Originally, we wanted the site to be a webmistress academy, but once Random Creations had undergone it's change, and after kaexshinee had left, rxnkim changed it to a tutorial site, where it's not just limited to webmistresses, but is now a 'hand-guide' to anyone that's creative. Reviews will be provided, as well as tutorials to help an individual find their potential in the online world.

    About Us

    Created: June 5 2010
    Opened: September 9 2010

History: Seeing the many sites that have been opening, and the various sites that have been closing down, there was a day when rxnh and kaexshinee were talking, and going on about the many good sites that have been closing down, and the many novice sites that have been opening.

It was a frustrating fact that though many of the sites closing down have been closed with a valid reason, the webmistresses of sites that have been opening do not know how to organise a site properly and end up leaving the site alone in a corner, to gather dust; or organise it but dont know where to put boundaries on certain things. This is where rxnh and kaexshinee ended up agreeing to do something about these new sites, and decided to create a site to train them with, Random Creations.

Name: Random Creations came about a couple of days after we chose the name. We had been planning this project for a couple of weeks, and at that time, still hadn't decided the name. The meaning behind Random Creations is the fact that many of the new sites are created out of thin air, with no thoughts put into it whatsoever. In creating a site, it requires a lot of thought and planning (though some seem to have gone against this theory and are doing fine).

  • Random: Having no specific pattern, arrangement or predictable outcome.

  • Creations: An artifact that has been brought into existence by someone.

  • Aim: In creating Random Creations, our aim is to train those who want to own a site but do not know how, or what's involved. It's all good and well to look at another site as one's starting point, but really what makes a site unique? What is it, that keeps your site organised and looking clean? What is it that makes a site popular? We touch on many subjects, and have a total of 7 classes to help with one's understanding.

Random Creations was created, not to insult new sites, but to help them grow their site to it's full potential that we know they have. For some sites, it's small things such as reorganization and creating time for their site; but for others, it's the big things. Putting together a team of webmistresses here at Random Creations, all we want, is for people to keep their sites up and running, at it's very best.
